We assist schools to establish supportive and empowering girls’ clubs in primary schools across Northern Uganda. Led by senior female teachers, these clubs create safe spaces for girls to build confidence, share experiences, and develop essential life skills. To address barriers such as menstrual stigma, limited access to sanitary products and low community support, the project adopts a holistic approach; combining peer support, practical training, and community engagement — to empower girls to stay in school, complete their education and thrive.

Girls’ Advocacy Clubs established in primary schools.
Safe forums created for girls to discuss challenges and support one another.
WASH, menstrual health, assertiveness and life-skills workshops delivered.
Reusable sanitary pad-making training delivered, with materials provided for ongoing production.
MHM manuals, comic books and educational resources distributed.
Exchange visits organised for club leaders to share ideas, meet role models and learn from other schools.
Boys, parents, teachers and community members engaged to reduce stigma and support girls’ education.

Increased confidence, leadership and self-advocacy among girls.
Improved menstrual health knowledge and reduced stigma.
Improved ability to attend school during menstruation.
